History

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.   Rev 3:8

On September 9, 1973, our church was founded by Gene Springer with its first location at 3333 Avenue A in Council Bluffs. On Easter morning of 1979 we were able to have our first service at our present location after completing what is now an educational wing and fellowship hall. In the fall of 1986 we began preparations for a new auditorium that was completed for its first service on Labor Day of 1988. In November of 2007 we were able to occupy our new all purpose building.  It is complete with Jr. Hi size gymnasium, kitchen, rest rooms, class rooms and offices.

However, what is more important is the salvation of souls and building people in their faith in Christ.  Our goal is thus 3-fold: to evangelize the lost, to educate the believer, and to edify the fallen.  In its simplest form we seek to see every person come to follow the leadership of the Spirit of God through the Word of God.
